Images from the 2016 AIFD Symposium

Every summer the American Institute of Floral Designers gather together for their annual symposium. Florists from around the world demonstrate cutting edge design ideas. I wanted to share some images of the fascinating installations that were created. Some of these photos come from the Symposium Facebook page. There's plenty more to see if you want to check it out!

Plants and Flowers at Disneyland

All smiles in front of the Partners Statue in Disneyland
I recently had the opportunity to travel to Anaheim, California to attend the American Institute of Floral Designers Annual Symposium. Designers from all over the United States and the world gather together to showcase world class floral creations and learn about hot new trends. More about that later. Today it's Disneyland!

I love the Disney parks. Besides being super fun, the Disney parks represent the collaboration of thousands of creative people from every discipline imaginable. Artists, performers, and of course landscapers and florists!

Every square inch of Disneyland is meticulously landscaped. A lot of the hard work is lost on most guests, but I made sure to take plenty of photos to share with you today. You don't need a Fastpass, we're going to the front of the line!

The beauty doesn't end at Disneyland's gates. Downtown Disney also offers lots to see for plant lovers like us.
